Duncan

ADOPTED!

Duncan has a sad beginning but his future is already looking bright. He was found wandering the streets and turned over to LISSR when no one claimed him. He is a sweetheart! He gets along with everyone in his foster home including cats, dogs, and the children who come to visit. He is tolerant and patient with everyone. He fits in at his foster home like he’s part of the family.

We estimate that Duncan is about 8 years old and has a beautiful black and white coat with a little sable mixed in. He is completely housetrained but prefers short walks as he has a slight limp. He is also completely deaf. An intelligent guy, he is quickly learning the hand signals that his foster mom is teaching him. Because of his lack of hearing, he needs a safe home where he can’t get out of the house or yard. Duncan is a bit of an escape artist so a secure yard and home is very important.

Duncan is smart, obedient and learns quickly. He loves nothing more than to sit with you and have his head scratched. Duncan is a sweet, gentle dog and ready to bring love and joy to a forever family.

Tootsie

ADOPTED!

Tootsie is as sweet as they come! A six-and-half year old sable and white female, Tootsie is a very affectionate love who only asks for love in return. She gets along well with other dogs and cats and has become very faithful to her foster family in a very short period of time. She follows her foster mom from room to room, is quiet and calm, and although she is a bit shy when first meeting new people, she warms up quickly.

Tootsie is a great watch dog and very alert. She knows basic commands, such as “sit” and “give paw” and will sit obediently for a treat. Due to an under active thyroid, she is on an inexpensive medication but takes her pill each morning with no problem.

Tootsie would brighten any home and in return will be a loving and faithful companion.

Maggie & Murphy

ADOPTED!

Meet Maggie and Murphy, they are mother and daughter. These two girls hide their age very well. Maggie (12) and Murphy (10) are very active despite their age. They love sunbathing in the morning sun and spending time with their favorite people. Maggie is Murphy's mom and they have spent their whole lives together and we would like to see them placed together. Both Maggie and Murphy will run around in the yard at top speeds! Murphy loves to tell you what she’s thinking and loves being cuddled. They both have skin allergies and need medication and special diets to keep it under control but don’t let that be intimidating, they are two wonderful ladies looking to spend the rest of their time in a forever home.
